Set the triggers that start conversations: comments, DMs, story replies, and ads, then choose what happens next.

What is an Initiative?

An initiative is the automation that decides when a conversation starts and what happens once it does. It connects a trigger, like someone commenting on your reel, to an outcome, like one of your sales agents stepping in. Think of it as the wiring between your audience and your agents. Your agents know how to talk; your initiatives decide who they talk to and when. What an initiative connects Every initiative has two ends: - A trigger: the action that kicks it off, such as a comment, a DM keyword, a story reply, or an interaction with an ad. - An outcome: what happens next, either handing the prospect to a Sales Agent, or sending them straight to your offer with a Direct Conversion. The list view Your Initiatives page lists everything you have built, each with a status of Active, Paused, or Draft, along with a quick summary of its trigger and results. You can search, filter by type (Sales Agent or Direct Conversion) or status, and pause, resume, duplicate, or delete from each row. Initiatives are unlimited on every plan, so build as many as you need. The Goal column tells you what this initiative is actually working toward, taken from the agent attached to it: Close Sales shows how many sales closed, Book Calls shows how many calls were booked. Direct conversions report on the sale, and initiatives sending people to an external link report Link Clicks. If you have not finished wiring one up yet, it reads Not configured. To start a new one, click Initiatives in the sidebar, then use the Build Initiative button and pick your trigger right from its menu; that drops you straight into the builder. Build your first Initiative

Building an initiative takes a few minutes. Click Initiatives in the sidebar, hit Build Initiative, pick your trigger from the menu, and you land in a four-step builder with a live phone preview beside you the whole way. Before you start Have an offer ready, and ideally a published sales agent if you want one to handle the conversation. See Create an offer and Create your first Sales Agent. The four steps 1. Trigger: choose what the initiative watches, like a specific post, a DM keyword, or a story, and set the keywords. See Choosing a trigger. 2. Opt-In: write the opt-in message your prospect receives, and the button they tap to start the conversation. See Writing your opt-in message. 3. Delay (optional): add a short wait between the prospect's tap and the agent starting, or leave it off. See Adding a delay. 4. Conversion: decide what happens next, either a Sales Agent who carries its own offer, or a Direct Conversion where you pick the offer yourself. See Choosing what happens next. The builder checks each step as you go, so you cannot wander forward with something important missing. One thing worth knowing: save your work Initiatives do not autosave. Use Save to keep a draft, or Publish to go live. If you close the tab without saving, your changes are gone. (Offers autosave; initiatives are deliberate about it. When in doubt, hit Save.) Save is only there while the initiative is a draft or paused. Open a live one and the button is gone, because a half-finished edit has no business sitting on something that is actively talking to people. To change a live initiative, use Pause & Edit. See Preview, publish, and pause initiatives. Name it and publish Give your initiative a name so you can find it later, then Publish. Cloziq runs a final check and tells you in plain sentences if anything is missing. Once it is live, the next person who matches your trigger gets pulled into the flow automatically. Tips - Watch the phone preview as you build. It updates live and shows the post, comments, DM, and story views exactly as your audience sees them. - You can always start simple: one trigger, a short opt-in message, and one agent. Refine from there. Related articles - Choosing a trigger - Writing your opt-in message - Choosing what happens next

Choosing a trigger

The trigger is what starts your initiative. Cloziq gives you six to choose from, so you can catch people wherever they engage with you. The trigger types - Comment on Specific Post or Reel: starts when someone comments on a post or reel you choose. Great for "comment WORD to get this" campaigns. - Comment on Next Post or Reel: claims your next post automatically, so you can set it up before you publish. See the note below, because "next" is more specific than it sounds. - DM keyword / any message: starts when someone sends you a DM, either containing a specific word or any message at all. - Story reply: starts when someone replies to a story you pick. Perfect for "reply YES to this story" promos. - Comment on IG Only Ad: starts when someone comments on one of your Instagram ads. - Reply to Ad: starts when someone replies to one of your ads. How "Comment on Next Post or Reel" picks its post This one watches exactly one post, not every post you publish from now on. When you activate the initiative, it starts waiting. The first post you publish after that becomes its post, and it stays on that post for good. Everyone who comments there gets the initiative; nothing you publish later is touched. Pausing resets the wait. When you resume, it starts waiting again from that moment, so anything you published while it was paused is skipped. Because that is easy to get wrong, resuming asks you first, with one of two questions depending on whether it already claimed a post: "Resume on the post it already started?" or "Resume and wait for your next post?" The practical rule: activate it shortly before you publish the post you want it on. Picking a specific post Comment on Specific Post or Reel opens a picker showing your published posts and reels. It loads a page at a time. If you do not see the post you want, click Show more at the bottom to pull in the next batch, and keep going until it turns up. Older posts are reachable, they are just not all loaded at once. How keyword matching actually works A few details that save head-scratching later: - Matching is not case sensitive, and the keyword can appear anywhere in the comment or message. "START", "start please", and "can I Start?" all match a "start" keyword. - You can list several keywords, and any one of them fires the trigger. - Or choose any word mode, where any comment or message at all sets it off. - If someone's action ever matches more than one of your active initiatives, the one you created first wins. In practice you will rarely see this, because Cloziq refuses to activate the second initiative in the first place and tells you which keywords collide. See Why Cloziq blocked this activation. Replying to the comment too For comment triggers, you can turn on an automatic public reply, so Cloziq answers under the comment (something like "Sent you a message! Check it out!") while the DM goes out. You can give it up to 3 phrasings, and Cloziq varies them so your comment section does not look copy-pasted. A note on ad triggers The two ad triggers need read access to your Facebook ad accounts before they will work. Cloziq walks you through connecting the first time you pick one. See Using ad triggers. Tips - "Comment on Next Post or Reel" is perfect when you want the automation armed before a launch post goes up. Activate it the same day you post, so it claims the right one. - Use distinct keywords when a single popular post should lead to more than one outcome. - Story replies are some of the warmest leads you will get; a story trigger plus a short qualifying flow is a strong combination. Writing your opt-in message

The Opt-In step is where you write the first thing a prospect receives. For comment, story, and ad triggers, this is the DM that arrives after they engage, along with a button they tap to start the sales conversation. Cloziq calls this the opt-in message, because tapping its button is how the prospect opts in to hearing from your agent. It is a different thing from your sales agent's own opening message, which is the first line the agent itself says once the conversation is underway. See Building your sales flow for that one. The opt-in message and button - Message: the opt-in DM, up to 640 characters. Keep it short and inviting, in your own voice. (The limit comes from Instagram: a message delivered with a tappable button caps out at 640.) - Opt-In Button: the label on the button, like "Connect" or "Send it." Keep it snappy; short labels read best on a phone. Leave it blank and it says "Connect". Here is the important mechanic: the prospect has to tap the button before the sales conversation starts. The tap is their opt-in. If they type a reply instead of tapping, Cloziq keeps their message safely on the record, but the agent politely waits for the tap. So the button is not decoration; it is the door. And do not worry about people who wander off: if the same person triggers the initiative again later, the opt-in message goes out again and every opt-in button in the thread keeps working, old and new. Whichever one they tap, they land in the same live conversation. One honest caveat about desktop Instagram's desktop website does not show DM buttons at all; phones and the Instagram apps show them fine. Most of your audience lives on their phone so this rarely matters, but if you are testing from a desktop browser and see no button, that is Instagram, not your setup. Replying to the comment too For comment triggers, you can also turn on auto reply to their comments, so Cloziq posts a public reply under the comment (something like "Sent you a message! Check it out!"). This nudges people to check their DMs and looks natural to everyone else reading the comments. You can add up to 3 variations and Cloziq rotates them. Some triggers make the opt-in message optional If your trigger is a DM keyword, a story reply, or Reply to Ad, the opt-in message is optional, and the step is labelled that way. In all three the person already messaged you, so you can let your agent take it from there, or set an opt-in message if you want a consistent first line. If you do include one, they still tap to connect; if you skip it, the conversation just begins. The comment triggers still require an opt-in message, since there is no DM thread until Cloziq starts one. One pairing rule applies everywhere: if you write an opt-in message you also need a button label, and vice versa. Set both or leave both empty. Publishing without one of them stops with "Add both an opt-in message and a button label, or leave both empty." Tips - Make the button text feel like a payoff, not a chore. "Get the guide" beats "Submit." - A warm, human opening gets more taps than a salesy one. You are asking for a tap, not a purchase. - If lots of people comment but few tap, rework the message and button first; that is the biggest lever in the whole flow. Adding a delay

The Delay step lets you add a pause before your sales agent starts talking. It is optional, but a short, natural wait can make the conversation feel less robotic to the person on the other end. When the delay actually runs This trips people up, so let's be precise: the delay runs after the prospect taps the opt-in button in your opt-in message, not before that message goes out. The opt-in message arrives right away, they tap, the delay counts down, and then the agent begins. So the prospect always gets instant confirmation that something happened; the pause is just before the human-feeling part starts. That is also why the example opt-in messages mention a short wait ("Wait time < 1 minute"): the message can set the expectation the delay then honors. Set a delay 1. On the Delay step, enter how long to wait, from 5 seconds to 14 minutes 59 seconds. 2. To skip it entirely, leave it off. The agent starts as soon as they tap. If this initiative has no opt-in message, there is no tap to wait for, so the delay runs before the first message instead. If you enter a value outside the range, Cloziq asks you to pick one within it. This delay vs. the agent's reply delay They are two different knobs. The initiative delay shapes the first impression: how long after the tap the agent opens. The agent's Reply Delay (on its Automation tab) shapes the rest of the chat: how quickly it answers each message. Set them independently. New agents already come with a 15 second reply delay, so an initiative delay stacks on top of that for the first message. Waiting mid-conversation is a different thing Neither of those pauses the agent partway through a conversation. Both are about timing, not about the prospect's answer. If what you actually want is for the agent to stop and stay on a question until someone answers it, for example when they say they need to check with their partner first, that is a Hold flow action on the sales agent's Sales Flow tab, not a delay. A hold keeps the conversation on that step, lets the agent keep talking there, and releases when their answer changes or they say they are ready to move on. See Building your sales flow. How long should it be? - A few seconds to a minute suits most cases. It softens the instant-bot feeling without losing momentum. - A few minutes can suit higher-touch offers, where a considered pace fits the brand. - Avoid the maximum on hot triggers like story replies. People are most responsive in the first minutes. Tips - If you are not sure, start short. You can adjust and republish any time. - Pair the delay with a warm opt-in message and a clear button. Timing helps, but the message does the heavy lifting. See Writing your opt-in message. Choosing what happens next

The Conversion step is where you decide what happens once a prospect is in. You choose the method first, and where the offer comes from depends on which one you pick. Two ways to convert - Sales Agent: an AI sales agent qualifies the prospect in DMs and guides them to your offer. It answers questions, handles objections, and closes the sale or books a call. Choose this when the conversation deserves a real back-and-forth. - Direct Conversion: skip the agent. The prospect gets a message that takes them straight to your offer: an external link, or a Stripe checkout for offers sold through Cloziq. Choose this when you just want to hand someone a link fast. On the Sales Agent tab you pick one of your published agents, and that is it. There is no separate offer to choose, because every agent already carries its own offer; the card shows that offer's name under the agent's name so you can see what you are pointing at. Each card also shows how that agent has actually performed: leads handled, conversions, and conversion rate. Pick one and the phone preview beside you fills in with that agent's own opening line, so you can read the whole first exchange, opt-in message and all, before you publish. If you have no published agents yet, this tab says so and points you at Direct Conversion instead. On the Direct Conversion tab you pick the offer yourself, because there is no agent to carry one. Setting up a Direct Conversion If you pick Direct Conversion, choose how it looks: - Simple Message: a short message, followed by the link in its own DM. Two clean bubbles, nothing fancy. The counter under the box measures Instagram's real limit, so emoji and accented characters use up more of it than plain letters. - Card: a richer card with a title, description, image, and button, for when the offer deserves a little presentation. Card images must be a JPG or PNG, 1MB or smaller, and upload before you can continue. You can also paste an image URL starting with http:// or https://. Add more than one image with Add Image and the card becomes a carousel you can page through. To drop one, bring it up in the carousel and use the remove control on the image itself. Previously the only way to fix a wrong image was to clear them all and start again. Switching an initiative to Direct Conversion clears the sales agent from it, since the two are alternatives; the prospect gets your link instead of a conversation. Either way, the link Cloziq sends is a tracked link. That is what powers the click metrics on the initiative's metrics page, and when the destination is a Cloziq checkout, the link always opens a live, valid checkout, even if the prospect comes back to it days later. What stops an initiative going live Cloziq checks before it activates, so you hear about a problem here rather than from a confused prospect. The usual blockers: - A direct-conversion offer with nowhere to send people, meaning no checkout and no external link. - A sales agent that is unpublished or archived. Publish the agent first. - The Instagram channel for this initiative is disconnected. - The trigger is not fully configured, for example no post picked or no keywords set. - Another active initiative would compete for the same people. See Why Cloziq blocked this activation. - You have used up your plan's sales conversations for the cycle. Tips - Use a Sales Agent when qualifying matters or the price needs a conversation. Use Direct Conversion for simple, low-cost offers where speed wins. - The agents you can pick from are your published ones. If an agent is missing from the list, it is probably still a draft. See Publish, pause, and edit agents. - Direct conversions get their own funnel on the metrics page (links sent, clicked, converted), so you can still see exactly how they perform. Using ad triggers

Two triggers let you turn ad engagement into conversations: Comment on IG Only Ad and Reply to Ad. They work like the regular comment and reply triggers, except they watch your Instagram ads instead of your organic posts. Connect Facebook Ads first These triggers need read access to your Facebook ad accounts, so Cloziq can find your active ads. The first time you pick an ad trigger, Cloziq prompts you to connect. This is a read-only connection. Cloziq uses it only to load your active ads and confirm they belong to your Instagram account. Approve the access and you come right back to where you were. One heads-up Cloziq shows you: some Advantage+ or asset-feed ads do not reveal which Instagram account owns them. Cloziq still lets you pick those, with a warning, but if an ad is not actually yours, the trigger may never fire. Pick your ad Once connected, the Pick an ad sheet lists your ads. It explains what it is looking for as you browse: Cloziq wants an ad that delivers on Instagram only, and it checks the placement and, where Meta tells it, that the ad runs on the Instagram account you connected. Each card carries a badge with the result of that quick check: - May be eligible means it passed. Cloziq runs the full check when you actually select it. - Unlikely to work means something in the placement or ownership looks wrong. You can still pick it, but expect it not to fire. The list shows placeholder tiles while it loads, so a moment of empty space is just Meta being slow. If you switch to a different Facebook ad account, your current pick is cleared, since an ad from one account cannot be watched from another. From there, the rest of the initiative is the same as any other: opt-in message, optional delay, and conversion. Reply to Ad does not require an opt-in message, since the person has already messaged you; Comment on IG Only Ad does. Catching people who message you later On a Reply to Ad trigger there is a switch called Also trigger on these keywords without the ad. Here is the problem it solves. Instagram only tells Cloziq which ad someone came from for about a day after they open the chat. Someone who sees your ad on Monday and messages you on Thursday arrives with no ad attached, so an ad trigger on its own never fires and the conversation goes nowhere. Turn the switch on and a DM matching your keywords starts the flow anyway, even when that ad link is missing. The tradeoff is that the trigger is now doing double duty, so keep the keywords tight and specific to that ad. A keyword like "info" will catch everyday DMs that have nothing to do with the campaign. Something distinctive from the ad's own wording is what you want. Tips - Connect your Instagram normally first. The Facebook Ads connection is an extra, read-only step just for ad triggers. - If your ads list is still empty once it has finished loading, make sure the ad is active in Meta and tied to the Instagram account you connected. - Ad audiences are colder than organic ones, so let a Sales Agent qualify them rather than sending a raw link. The extra questions pay for themselves. Related articles - Choosing a trigger - Build your first Initiative - Connect your Instagram account

Preview, publish, and pause initiatives

As you build, Cloziq shows a live preview, and when you are ready you publish. You can pause, resume, and edit any time after that. Preview The phone preview beside the builder updates as you type. Switch between the post, comments, DM, and story views to see exactly how things will look, using your connected account's name and avatar. What you see in the DM view is what actually sends, so trust it. Publish When everything looks right, give your initiative a name and click Publish. Cloziq checks that the required pieces are in place and tells you in plain sentences what is missing, for example "Add an opt-in message", "Add a button label", "Set a delay between 5 seconds and 14 minutes 59 seconds", or "Choose a conversion method". Once it is live, the next person who matches your trigger enters the flow. Publishing can also be refused because another active initiative is already watching for the same people. That message names the other initiative and the overlap. See Why Cloziq blocked this activation. Remember that drafts only save when you click Save; there is no autosave in the initiative builder. On a live initiative the Save button is not there at all, so use Pause & Edit below. Editing a live initiative Open a live initiative and most sections show a small lock. Click Edit on a locked section and Cloziq offers Pause & Edit: the initiative pauses while you work, and you republish when done. A few light settings can be changed in place without pausing. Conversations already in progress are never affected by an edit; changes apply to new ones. Pause and resume From an initiative's row menu you can: - Pause an active initiative to stop it from starting new conversations. - Resume a paused one to turn it back on. - Duplicate one as a starting point for a variation. Pausing never touches conversations already underway; it only stops new ones from starting. Resuming a Comment on Next Post or Reel initiative asks you to confirm first, because pausing resets which post it is waiting for. It asks either "Resume on the post it already started?" or "Resume and wait for your next post?", and the second one warns that anything you published while it was paused is skipped. See Choosing a trigger. When Cloziq pauses one for you Sometimes Cloziq pauses an initiative on your behalf. It shows the same Paused badge as a manual pause, but hovering the info icon tells you exactly why: - "Paused: Agent unpublished" - "Paused automatically when the linked offer was archived." - "Paused: Channel disconnected" - "Paused: Sales conversation limit reached" Fix the cause, then resume it from the row menu. For the first one you often do not have to. When you publish that agent again, Cloziq offers to switch its paused initiatives back on for you as part of publishing. See Publish, pause, and edit agents. Tips - After publishing, trigger it yourself once from another account if you can. Thirty seconds of testing beats a day of wondering. - If Cloziq paused an initiative for you, read the reason on the badge first. Resuming without fixing the cause just pauses it again. Why Cloziq blocked this activation

If two of your initiatives are watching for the same thing, the same comment or DM would match both, and only one of them can win. Rather than let you find that out from your reporting weeks later, Cloziq refuses the activation and tells you which initiative is in the way. The message names the other initiative, its trigger type, and the overlap. Something like: Activation blocked: "Spring Challenge" (Comment on Next Post or Reel) is also waiting for your next post with the same keyword "start". Pause or edit it, or change this initiative's keywords, then try again. What actually counts as a conflict All four of these have to be true at once. If any one of them differs, both initiatives can run happily side by side. 1. Same Instagram account. Initiatives on different connected channels never conflict. 2. Same kind of trigger. Comments compete with comments, DMs with DMs. A comment trigger and a DM trigger are not in each other's way, even with identical keywords. 3. Overlapping keywords. See below, because this is broader than most people expect. 4. Overlapping targets. Two initiatives on two different posts do not conflict. Two on the same post do, and two both waiting for your next post do. Keyword overlap is broader than exact matches Keywords match anywhere inside a comment, so Cloziq treats one keyword as overlapping another when either contains the other. That means "plan" collides with "planning", because a comment saying "planning" contains "plan" and would match both initiatives. It is not looking for identical words, it is looking for comments that could satisfy both. Any Word mode collides with everything in its trigger family on that account. An initiative set to fire on any comment at all will, by definition, also catch the comments meant for your keyword initiative, so nothing else of that type can be active alongside it. How to clear it Pick whichever fits: - Change this initiative's keywords so they no longer contain, and are not contained by, the other one's. "Start" and "planning" are fine together; "plan" and "planning" are not. - Point them at different posts, if both are comment triggers. - Pause the other initiative, if it has done its job. - Switch one to a different trigger type, for example move a campaign from comments to a DM keyword. Then activate again. Tips - Short, common keywords cause most conflicts, because short words are contained inside so many longer ones. "Go" collides with "going", "gone", and "goal". - Keep one Any Word initiative at most per account per trigger type, and treat it as your catch-all rather than running it alongside targeted campaigns. - A blocked activation is not a failed initiative. Nothing is lost, and your draft is exactly where you left it. Related articles - Choosing a trigger - Preview, publish, and pause initiatives - Initiative FAQs and tips

Reading your initiative metrics

Each initiative has its own metrics page that shows how well it is turning engagement into results. Open it from the initiative to see the full picture. The conversion funnel The funnel depends on how your initiative converts: - Sales Agent initiatives show the conversation journey: how many were Triggered, how many Entered Flow (tapped in and started talking), how many Reached Terminal (got to an ending), and how many Converted. - Direct Conversion initiatives show the link journey: Links Sent, Links Clicked, and Converted. Clicks count prospects who opened the link at least once, and bot and preview traffic is excluded, so the numbers reflect real people. For links to an external site, clicks are the last thing Cloziq can see; conversion happens on your side. The percentage between two stages is the share that moved on, not the share that dropped off. Higher is better, and it is always shown in green. Each stage also has a little info icon explaining exactly what it counts, so you never have to guess a definition. Where a direct conversion sends people to an external site, the headline metric is labelled Link Clicks with a Click-Through rate rather than conversions, because a click is genuinely the last thing Cloziq can see. On a phone the metric cards become a row you swipe sideways rather than a tall stack, so if you can see two and a sliver of a third, that is the whole set; keep scrolling right. The conversion trend A trend chart shows your results over time, and you can switch between Conversions and Revenue to see either the count or the money. Lead status breakdown A breakdown shows where this initiative's leads currently sit, by status, so you can see how many are qualified, booked, purchased, and so on. To learn what each status means, see Understanding lead statuses. Picking a time range and version Set a date range to focus the numbers, and if you have republished the initiative, use the version filter to look at one version (shown as Version 2 · Jul 23), the newest (Latest (v3)), or all of them together. Comparing versions after a change is the honest way to know whether it helped. Each version is shown as it was set up at the time. If version 1 used a sales agent and version 3 sends a direct link, picking version 1 gives you the conversation funnel from that era, not today's link metrics. When metrics are hidden on purpose Sometimes you will select All versions and see no numbers at all, just a message reading "Pick a version to see these metrics." That is deliberate, and it is protecting you from a misleading number. It happens when the initiative was set up differently at different points in the period you are looking at: the conversion method changed, the sales agent changed, or the agent's goal flipped between closing sales and booking calls. Adding those together would mean adding booked calls to closed sales, or funnel stages to link clicks, which tells you nothing true. Pick a specific version from the menu, or narrow the date range, and the numbers come back for that one setup. A tip Cloziq shows alongside that message, and worth taking: when you want to switch between Close Sales, Book Calls, and Direct Conversion, build a fresh initiative instead of changing this one. Each initiative then keeps its own clean set of metrics. Tips - Watch the biggest drop-off first. Fixing the weakest step usually moves results the most. - Low clicks on a direct conversion usually means the message before the link needs work, not the link itself. - For your audience-wide picture across all initiatives, use the lifecycle funnel on the Contacts page instead. Initiative FAQs and tips

How many initiatives can I run? As many as you want. Initiatives are unlimited on every plan, so there is no cap on how many you build or run at once. Why didn't my comment automation start a conversation? For comment, story, and ad triggers, the prospect has to tap the opt-in button in the opt-in message before the sales conversation starts. If they only commented, or they replied in text without tapping, the conversation has not begun yet; their messages are kept, and the button keeps working whenever they get around to tapping it. Make sure your button text invites the tap, and turn on the public comment auto-reply so people know to check their DMs. My opt-in message has no button when I look on my computer. Is it broken? No. Instagram's desktop website simply does not display DM buttons; phones and the Instagram apps show them normally. Check from a phone before assuming anything is wrong. What if someone triggers the same initiative twice? No harm done. The opt-in message goes out again, and every opt-in button in the thread stays live, so whichever one they tap works. They will not be double-counted, and an opt-in message that was never tapped never counts against your plan. Do I need a sales agent for every initiative? No. You can use a Direct Conversion to send people straight to your offer with a tracked link, no agent involved. Use a Sales Agent when the conversation needs real qualifying or back-and-forth. My initiative says Paused but I didn't pause it Cloziq paused it for you. Hover the info icon on the badge and it tells you why: the agent was unpublished, the linked offer was archived, the channel was disconnected, or you reached your plan's conversation limit. Fix the cause and resume it from the row menu. If the cause was an unpublished agent, publishing that agent again offers to turn its paused initiatives back on for you, so you usually do not have to resume them one by one. Why do my metrics say "Pick a version to see these metrics"? Because the initiative was set up differently over the period you are viewing, so combining the numbers would compare two different things (booked calls against closed sales, for instance). Choose a single version from the menu or narrow the date range. If you are planning to switch between Close Sales, Book Calls, and Direct Conversion, it is cleaner to build a fresh initiative so each keeps its own metrics. Can I change an initiative after it is live? Yes. Open it and use Pause & Edit on the section you want to change, then republish. Conversations already in progress are unaffected; changes apply to new ones. The metrics page lets you compare versions so you can see whether a change helped. What do I need for ad triggers? A read-only Facebook Ads connection, which Cloziq prompts you to set up the first time you choose an ad trigger. See Using ad triggers. Someone saw my ad days ago and messaged me. Why didn't my ad initiative fire? Instagram only tells Cloziq which ad a person came from for about a day after they open the chat. After that the link is gone, so a Reply to Ad trigger has nothing to match on. Turn on Also trigger on these keywords without the ad in the trigger step and a DM matching your keywords starts the flow anyway. Keep those keywords specific to the ad, or everyday DMs will start it too. See Using ad triggers. Tips - Try "Comment on Next Post or Reel" so your automation is armed before a launch post goes live. It claims one post, the first you publish after activating, so turn it on close to when you post. - If conversions are low, open the metrics and look for the funnel stage with the lowest progression first. - Keep keywords distinct across initiatives. Cloziq will refuse to activate two that compete, and the overlap check counts one keyword inside another, so "plan" and "planning" collide. See Why Cloziq blocked this activation.
