If you have agents whose goal is to book calls, connecting Calendly lets contacts schedule directly from the conversation. It also unlocks in-chat booking, where a prospect can pick a time without ever leaving the DMs.
Connect Calendly
- Open Settings from the sidebar and go to the Integrations tab.
- In the Calendar Booking section, click Connect.
- Log in to Calendly and approve the connection.
- When you return, the section shows Connected with the account you linked.
Once connected, you can choose Calendly as the booking method when you set up a Book Call agent. See Building your sales flow.
A note on in-chat booking
In-chat booking, where the prospect picks a time inside the DM, uses your Calendly account's scheduling access. Connect the same Calendly login that owns your paid Calendly plan, since that is the account with the access in-chat booking needs.
Keep your event types in sync
Cloziq uses your Calendly event types to offer the right call options in your Book Call agents. If you add, rename, or remove event types in Calendly, give Cloziq a nudge to pick up the changes:
- In the Calendar Booking section, click Resync Event Types.
- Cloziq pulls in the latest list and shows you what changed.
A couple of things to know about syncing:
- You can resync about once a minute. If you click again too soon, Cloziq asks you to wait a moment.
- If you removed an event type that an agent was using, resyncing tells you which agents are affected. An agent that lost its booking option may need a quick edit before it can go live again.
Resync right after you make changes in Calendly, so your agents always offer the current options.
If Cloziq asks you to reconnect
If you ever see a prompt to Reconnect Calendly, it means a permission lapsed and needs refreshing. Booking links, in-chat booking, and event sync all depend on it. Reconnecting takes a few seconds and keeps everything working.
If bookings are not syncing back
You may see a warning next to a perfectly working connection saying Cloziq could not subscribe to booking notifications. This is not something reconnecting will fix, so the card does not ask you to.
It means your Calendly plan does not allow the notifications Cloziq needs to hear about bookings automatically. Calendly limits that to their paid plans (Standard or above) on accounts with an organization. Everything else still works, prospects can still book, but a call booked on Calendly will not flow back into Cloziq on its own. Upgrading your Calendly plan and reconnecting turns syncing on.
Tips
- Calendly is only needed for agents that book calls. Agents that close sales do not need it.
- After any change to your Calendly availability or event types, a quick resync keeps your agents accurate.
