Stripe is how Cloziq takes payments. Connecting it lets your agents send payment links right in the DMs, complete sales, and lets you track your earnings. You only need to do this once.
Connect Stripe
- Open Settings from the sidebar and go to the Integrations tab.
- In the Payment Providers section, click Connect on Stripe.
- You are taken to Stripe to log in or create an account and approve the connection.
- When you come back, the section shows Connected, along with the account you linked.
If you see "Action needed"
Connected is not always the same as ready. If your Stripe account is missing something it needs to actually charge customers, Cloziq shows an amber Action needed note on the Stripe card, and the same warning appears on any offer trying to sell directly in DMs. The two usual causes:
- No business name in Stripe. Add one in your Stripe dashboard under Settings, then Business details. Your buyers see this name at checkout, so Stripe requires it.
- Stripe onboarding unfinished. Complete Stripe's own setup steps so your account can accept payments.
Fix the item it names and the warning clears on its own. Until then, Cloziq will not let an offer go live with DM sales turned on, because a checkout that cannot charge would just strand your buyers.
What you need it for
- Selling offers in DMs: the direct-sale option on an offer needs Stripe connected and ready. See Delivery and getting paid.
- Tracking earnings and payouts: your balances and payout details come from Stripe. See Payouts and getting paid.
If you connect more than one Stripe account
This works, but there was a bug worth knowing about if you were affected: before 26 July 2026, a completed sale on one connected account could be claimed by another connection and dropped entirely, with no sale recorded, no delivery email, and no confirmation DM. It is fixed. If you saw missing sales before that date, contact us from the chat with the Stripe payment reference and we will get them recorded.
Tips
- You also need a support email set on your business identity to sell directly in DMs. See Set your business identity.
- Payout timing and bank details live in your Stripe account, not in Cloziq.
- Discount codes are handled by Stripe too: create a promotion code there and buyers can apply it at any Cloziq checkout.
