A Sales Agent is the AI assistant that actually holds your conversations. When a prospect lands in your DMs, the agent greets them, asks the questions you would ask, figures out whether they are a fit, and guides them toward your goal, whether that is booking a call or making a sale.
You are the director. The agent follows the flow and personality you give it, so it sounds like your business and pushes toward the outcome you want.
What goes into an agent
The agent builder has four tabs, and each one has its own short guide:
- Basics: its name, look, the offer it sells, its goal (Close Sale or Book Call), its tone, and an optional written identity.
- Sales Flow: the actual conversation, from the agent's opening message through the qualifying questions, including which piece of lead info each step captures and any if/then rules.
- Guardrails: the rules that keep it on-brand and on-topic, plus the reasons to walk away from a prospect.
- Automation: timing, like how fast it replies, when to give up on a quiet lead, and where to forward new leads.
Lead capture lives inside the Sales Flow: each qualification step saves its answer to a field, usually one of your qualification criteria like budget or goals, so everything the agent learns lands on the contact's profile. Contact details for booking and checkout are collected automatically when they are actually needed, so your steps can focus on qualifying.
What the agent does on its own
You do not script every word. Beyond the flow you write, the agent handles the natural back-and-forth: it answers questions about your offer using the details you added, handles objections, brushes off off-topic tangents, and knows when to stop pushing. When it gets a payment or booking to the finish line, it wraps up politely, and when a conversation needs a human, it goes quiet and flags the contact for you instead of guessing. The guides How your agent runs a conversation and When your agent hands a conversation to you cover this in detail.
How an agent fits with everything else
An agent does not run on its own. You point an initiative at it (for example, "when someone comments on this reel, start this agent"), and you give it an offer to sell. Prospects it talks to show up in Contacts, and any sales show up in Earnings.
The next guide walks you through creating your first one.
