Most connection problems come down to one of a few things. Work through these in order.
"Please convert to Instagram Business account to use Cloziq."
This means the account you tried to connect is a Personal account. Cloziq needs a professional account, which is Instagram's term for Business and Creator accounts alike.
Fix: Switch the account to professional in the Instagram app, then connect again. Step-by-step instructions are in What kind of Instagram account you need.
You did not approve all the permissions
If you unchecked a permission during the Instagram login, or closed the window early, the connection cannot complete.
Fix: Start the connection again and approve all the permissions Cloziq asks for. Each one is needed for reading and replying to your messages and comments.
You connected the wrong account
If you are logged into more than one Instagram account in your browser, it is easy to approve the wrong one.
Fix: Make sure you are logged into the account you actually want to use before you start, then connect again. You can confirm which account connected in Manage Workspace under Connected Channels.
"This Instagram account isn't eligible for a trial."
Nothing is saved when this happens, so you can try a different Instagram account straight away.
Fix: If the account you started with was not the one you actually run your business from, connect that one instead. Otherwise contact support from the chat and we will take a look; our team is notified automatically either way.
It connected before but stopped working
If your agents were replying and then went quiet, the connection likely expired. This can happen after a password change or a long stretch of inactivity.
Fix: Open Manage Workspace and click Reconnect on the channel. See Reconnect or disconnect a channel.
Still stuck?
If none of these solve it, reach out to us from the chat in your dashboard and tell us which account you are trying to connect and what you saw on screen. We will take it from there.
