Your plan includes a set number of sales conversations per billing cycle, so it is fair to ask: what exactly counts as one? The short answer: you are charged when a real conversation actually starts, not before.
When a conversation counts
One sales conversation is counted when a prospect genuinely begins talking with your agent:
- For comment, story, and ad triggers, that is when the prospect taps the opt-in button in your opt-in message.
- For DM triggers with no opening step, that is when their message starts the conversation and the agent engages.
Until that moment, nothing is counted. A thousand people can comment on your reel and receive your opt-in message, and your usage meter does not move until someone taps in.
What never counts
- Openings that were never tapped. If someone comments, gets your DM, and wanders off without tapping, that costs you nothing.
- Re-triggers. If the same person triggers your initiative three times before finally tapping, that still counts as one conversation, not three. Openings that got replaced along the way are free.
- Test Agent chats. Practice conversations with your own agent are always free and invisible to your usage.
- Direct Conversion sends. Initiatives that just deliver a tracked link, with no agent conversation, are not metered as sales conversations.
One conversation, start to finish
Once a conversation is counted, everything inside it is included: every reply, question, objection, booking, and checkout, all the way to the ending. There is no per-message math; a two-minute chat and a two-day negotiation each count as one.
Where to watch your usage
The Usage & Limits section in Settings → Billing (and the Account Health card on your dashboard, which shows the same number) tracks how many conversations you have used this cycle and when the meter resets. If you are getting close to your limit, see Reaching your limit and overages for how to keep running without interruption.
