If two of your initiatives are watching for the same thing, the same comment or DM would match both, and only one of them can win. Rather than let you find that out from your reporting weeks later, Cloziq refuses the activation and tells you which initiative is in the way.
The message names the other initiative, its trigger type, and the overlap. Something like:
Activation blocked: "Spring Challenge" (Comment on Next Post or Reel) is also waiting for your next post with the same keyword "start". Pause or edit it, or change this initiative's keywords, then try again.
What actually counts as a conflict
All four of these have to be true at once. If any one of them differs, both initiatives can run happily side by side.
- Same Instagram account. Initiatives on different connected channels never conflict.
- Same kind of trigger. Comments compete with comments, DMs with DMs. A comment trigger and a DM trigger are not in each other's way, even with identical keywords.
- Overlapping keywords. See below, because this is broader than most people expect.
- Overlapping targets. Two initiatives on two different posts do not conflict. Two on the same post do, and two both waiting for your next post do.
Keyword overlap is broader than exact matches
Keywords match anywhere inside a comment, so Cloziq treats one keyword as overlapping another when either contains the other.
That means "plan" collides with "planning", because a comment saying "planning" contains "plan" and would match both initiatives. It is not looking for identical words, it is looking for comments that could satisfy both.
Any Word mode collides with everything in its trigger family on that account. An initiative set to fire on any comment at all will, by definition, also catch the comments meant for your keyword initiative, so nothing else of that type can be active alongside it.
How to clear it
Pick whichever fits:
- Change this initiative's keywords so they no longer contain, and are not contained by, the other one's. "Start" and "planning" are fine together; "plan" and "planning" are not.
- Point them at different posts, if both are comment triggers.
- Pause the other initiative, if it has done its job.
- Switch one to a different trigger type, for example move a campaign from comments to a DM keyword.
Then activate again.
Tips
- Short, common keywords cause most conflicts, because short words are contained inside so many longer ones. "Go" collides with "going", "gone", and "goal".
- Keep one Any Word initiative at most per account per trigger type, and treat it as your catch-all rather than running it alongside targeted campaigns.
- A blocked activation is not a failed initiative. Nothing is lost, and your draft is exactly where you left it.
