The Automation tab controls the timing around your conversations: how quickly the agent replies, how long it waits on a prospect who goes quiet, and whether it passes leads to your other tools. It has four sections, all optional. Everything here stays editable even while the agent is published.

Worth setting expectations up front: nothing on this tab makes your agent message someone who has gone silent. There is no automated follow-up feature in Cloziq. The agent replies when a prospect writes, and the Lead Inactivity Timeout below decides when to stop waiting.

Reply Delay

Reply Delay sets how long the agent waits before responding: No Delay, 15s, 30s, or 1, 2, 5, 10, or 15 minutes. New agents start at 15s, because a short, natural pause feels more human than an instant reply.

The delay is smarter than a simple timer. If a prospect fires off several messages in a row, the timer restarts with each one, and when it finally runs out the agent answers everything in a single reply instead of responding to each message separately. That is worth knowing when you test: a burst of texts gets one considered answer, by design.

Call Reminders

If your agent's goal is Book Call and Calendly is connected, you can turn on Call Reminders so prospects get nudged by email before their call. There are two reminder slots, each set to 1 hour before or 24 hours before, and both start switched on. Reminders are only available for Calendly connected Book Call agents; external booking links handle their own reminders.

Lead Inactivity Timeout

Lead Inactivity Timeout decides how long the agent waits on a quiet prospect before marking them a Lost Lead: anywhere from 2 to 14 days, with 3 days as the default. This keeps your pipeline honest, so leads who drifted off do not sit as if they are still active. Only conversations that are actually waiting on the prospect can time out; anything already won, disqualified, or handed to you is untouched.

Lead forwarding (Zapier)

Lead forwarding sends leads to another tool automatically using a webhook, which pairs naturally with Zapier. You get two hook slots. For each one, paste a Zapier Catch Hook URL and choose the status that triggers the forward: the lead is sent the moment it reaches that status. You can forward on Qualified, Awaiting booking, Call booked, Awaiting purchase, Customer, Link sent, Disqualified, Lost lead, or Needs human intervention.

Use Send Test Event to fire a sample payload at your Zap and confirm it is wired up before real leads flow.

Tips

  • If you are not using webhooks, ignore Lead forwarding entirely. Everything still shows up in Contacts.
  • Reminders noticeably reduce no-shows, so they are worth turning on for Book Call agents.
  • A modest reply delay (15 to 30 seconds) gives prospects room to finish a thought, which means fewer fragmented exchanges.
