Before you let an agent loose on real prospects, have a practice conversation with it yourself. Testing is the fastest way to catch an awkward opening line or a question that lands wrong, and test conversations are completely free: they never count toward your plan, and test contacts never appear in your real contact list or metrics.

## Run a test conversation

[SCREENSHOT: the Test Agent drawer open beside the agent builder]

1. Open the **Test Agent** drawer. It slides in from the right beside the builder on a computer, and comes up from the bottom on a phone. You can reach it from the agent builder and from the agent card's menu.
2. Click **Start conversation** and type messages as if you were a prospect.
3. Watch how the agent greets you, asks its questions, and moves toward the goal.
4. If something feels off, go back to **Sales Flow** or **Guardrails**, adjust, republish, and test again.

Testing runs against the **published** version of your agent. If you have unsaved edits, the drawer reminds you that you are testing the live version until you re-publish. If the agent is still a draft, publish it first; you can unpublish again right after testing.

## Simulate the finish line

You cannot pay yourself through a test chat, so the drawer gives you two shortcut buttons: **Payment Completed** and **Booking Confirmed**. When the conversation reaches the point where a real prospect would check out or book, click the matching button to simulate it and watch how the agent wraps up.

When a test conversation reaches an ending, the drawer shows "This conversation ended." Click **Reset** to start a fresh one.

## Daily limit

You get 100 test messages a day, so live conversations always come first. That is plenty for several full run-throughs. If you hit it, the drawer says "Daily message limit reached" and tells you when it resets; the quota resets at midnight UTC.

## Tips

- Try to break it. Give vague answers, ask off-topic questions, raise objections, and see how the agent handles it. That is where your guardrails earn their keep.
- Test the disqualify path too, not just the happy path, so you know the agent bows out gracefully when someone is not a fit.
- Reply with several rapid short messages in a row. If you set a Reply Delay, you will see the agent gather them into one answer, exactly as it will live.
