When you connect Instagram, Cloziq asks Instagram for permission to do a specific set of things on your behalf. It is worth knowing exactly what that covers, so you know what Cloziq can and cannot touch.

## What Cloziq can do

Once connected, Cloziq can:

- **Read and reply to your DMs.** This is the core of how your agents hold conversations.
- **Read and reply to comments** on your posts and reels, which is what makes comment-based automations work.
- **Read your account insights**, the basic analytics Cloziq uses to show your results.

## What Cloziq cannot do

Cloziq does not post to your feed, create stories, or change your profile. It only works with messages, comments, and the analytics tied to them.

## The 24-hour messaging window

Instagram has a rule that shapes how DM automation works everywhere, not just in Cloziq: a business can keep messaging someone for **24 hours** after that person's last message. If a prospect goes quiet for more than a day, the window closes, and your agent cannot send a fresh message until they reach out again.

This is an Instagram policy, not a Cloziq limit. It is the main reason replies happen quickly while a conversation is active.

## Your login stays yours

Connecting Instagram does not hand over your password. The connection runs through Instagram's official login, and you can disconnect it at any time from **Manage Workspace**.
