If you want to leave Cloziq for good, you can delete your account from the **Profile** tab. This is permanent, so it is worth understanding what happens.

## Cancel your subscription first

If you are on a trial or a paid plan, cancel it before you delete your account, so you are not charged again. Cloziq will remind you and point you to the **Billing** tab if you still have an active plan. See **Managing your subscription**.

## Delete your account

1. Open **Settings**, then the **Profile** tab.
2. In the manage account area, click **Delete account**.
3. Cloziq explains what will happen: it disconnects every connected channel and your Stripe connection, signs you out everywhere, and permanently deletes your account. This cannot be undone.
4. To confirm, type **DELETE** in capital letters, then click **Delete my account**.

## Just want to step away?

If you only want to sign out of this device, use **Log out** instead. Your account stays intact and you can sign back in any time.

## Tips

- Deleting is final. If you are unsure, cancel your plan and log out instead, then decide later.
- Need one person's data removed rather than your whole account? You can do that yourself. Deleting a contact erases everything identifying them, including their name, handle, photo, email, phone, captured answers, tags, notes, and the contents of their messages. See **Managing contacts and capacity**.
